Volunteer with DCYHC!!

Why Should I Volunteer?

  • Lots of teens and young adults have been volunteering here for many years.
  • If you need community service hours for school, you can get those here.
  • If you’re enrolled in a medical receptionist or medical records technician course that requires an internship, you can be an intern with us.
  • The volunteer experience you get here can help you when you get a job later on.
  • You’ll feel good about yourself for helping us out.
  • You can see what it’s like to be a nurse or doctor or to work in a clinic.
  • Our staff cares a lot about teens and we think it’s great to have youth in the clinic helping out!

What Would I Be Doing If I Volunteered?

Here are some examples:

  • We need lots of clerical help such as filing, computer data entry, making copies, doing mailings, and making packets.
  • You could become a part of our Youth Advisory Council and tell us how to make the health center better for you and your peers.
  • Help get DCYHC linked up with things like Myspace and Facebook.

I'm Down To Be A Volunteer, How Do I Apply?

  • Print and fill out this Volunteer Application. Mail or fax it to the DCYHC.
  • We’ll call you and have you come in to meet with one of our staff. You’ll be volunteering in no time!
  • You can also call us at 650-985-7000 to find out more about how to volunteer with DCYHC.
